Easy-to-grow annual in a beautiful mixture of various blue shades and white. Flowers all summer long with bell-shaped flowers which will be frequently visited by bees and butterflies. Best when direct sown in sunny borders on well drained soils.

The exceptional blue flowers have a very nicely designed centre and beautifully contrasting white anthers. One of the bluest of all blue annuals according to some gardeners. Marvellous garden plant, but beware when touching the leaves and stems. It causes itching stains on the human skin and hardly removable stains on clothes. Easy to grow; start inside, or sow directly in the garden. The plant starts flowering early summer when 30 cm tall and keeps on growing and flowering till the autumn nights get to cold. Originally from California, they like a sunny spot and a well-drained soil, however they will also accept moist soils.
